Choosing the right support
Mental performance or counselling?
The simplest answer is this: mental performance helps you perform better. Counselling helps you feel better. Sometimes they overlap, and you do not have to know which one you need before you reach out.
Book a free sessionChoose mental performance when
- The main problem shows up in practice or competition
- You want tools for nerves, focus or confidence
- You are working toward a performance goal
- You want to reset faster after mistakes
- You are not in distress, but want to strengthen mental skills
Choose counselling when
- Anxiety or low mood follows you beyond sport
- Self-worth depends on results
- Injury or transition has affected your identity
- Family, school, work or relationships feel heavy
- You need a private place to work through how you feel
What if it is both?
That is common. We might start with the thing affecting you most today, then adjust as we learn more. If your needs fall outside my training or scope, I will be honest and help point you toward suitable care.
You do not need to diagnose yourself. Tell me what is happening, and we will work out the right starting point together.
